Well here you have it, the long awaited My GOD, Robots! Pilot remake. Here is a version that is much more...well to be honest infinitely better. Voice acting, Artwork, backgrounds, everything is better. Now there are some things that I would like to explain, when Fulker and the Evil Microchip call Jason "The One" it is something that will be explained in episode 10, so to those of you who get confused or angry, there's your answer. Oh also, when Jason pulls away from Alex when about to kiss he's farting. It's supposed to be silent, but it doesnt look like it comes across at all. Anyhoo, this is the first episode done (completely) with the Wacom Tablet. And well, it shows doesnt it? It looks great. I tested out a more than likely permanent way to do the backgrounds from now on, inspired by Genndy Tartakovsky and Craig McKraken cartoons. This episode is being submitted here because it's too big for Newgrounds, at least until I get special permission for it. That's all I have to say except, there will be a version of this where Matt Wilson and myself do commentary for it soon.
ENJOY!
EDIT-
DeviantART...Usually when you put a Flash movie it gets sort of pushed to the side right? Here's some advice to sort of semi-fix that
Nario GEOW: well, I figured out that first, if you press tab on the movie, it'll center it vertically. But then you kinda have to click and drag in that white area, as if you were going to highlight the movie, and you can shift it. It's nearly impossible.
INSANE. Beautiful visuals and atmospheric music.. this pilot remake truly puts the old one to shame by leaps and bounds. Nicely done, can't wait for the new episodes!
It's indeed a big improvement, so much better in many ways. The voice acting was the biggest flaw in the previous version, that seems to be solved. The new BGs are a nice addition as well. Great score, especially during the fighty sequence. The dramatic open-the-can sequence was highly amusing :]
The biggest loss is, well, the lack of sound FX. With such great animation, score and BGs, the lack of sound is a real downer.
Was that a cameo of you towards the beginning? The animation on this thing is really good for a flash cartoon. I wonder what your cartoons would look like if you had a big budget and other people at your disposal.
Yes. Definately better than the first pilot. Had me with a spoken "Whoa" at the portal part. Well done, Insomnia. :D THE LEGION DEMANDS SOUND EFFECTS. RAWRGH, CAPITAL LETTERS.
